First off it's perfectly legal to own an off roster handgun in California. The Glock Gen 4 & Gen 5 are not listed on the DOJ's Roster of Handguns. There are legal ways to aquire one if you can find one for sale, but you will pay a premium. Currently the Glock Gen 3's and Golck 17/22 RTF (sort of a Gen 3.5) are on the list.

Size, weight, and maybe the trigger of this particular model. CZ 75 Tactical Sport that comes in both 9 and 40, designed to be used for USPSA Limited division out the box. Albeit, discontinued.

Yah you missed them by two weeks....Find your local gun shop and put a deposit on one. Get your name on the list as an ordered item. When they come available again you won’t have to hunt for it as your on the list from distribution if the shop does their part.

Glock GSSF Blue Label 34.3 + shipping = $515, tax $45, DROS $37, so about $597 in your hands. However, Blue Label will have 3 mags, standard 5lb connector and fixed sights whereas Civilian will have 2 mags, 4lb '-' connector, adjustable sights.

Oh, you have shipping factored in that!

I just go to the LGS - OTD (out the door) inclusive of tax, fees, etc. - my G34.3 is just $570. Then I get $11 in cashback for using Apple Pay...

Of course, I need to factor in 20-mi two-way to/from the LGS twice in gasoline (about $8).
