I’ve got both but prefer the sandpaper one. I don’t conceal carry so the sandpaper texture is not a concern for me.

Talon grip wraps?

If you want a more aggressive grip texture, you can get the same effect by using the talons as an outline and buying tape at Home Depot.sigpic

The Rubber grips feel nice but will be slippery when wet. The granular grips will work under wet and dry conditions.Comment

I've tried both the rubber and granular Talon grips. I'm a big fan of the granular ones. The granules are very fine and not as aggressive as skateboard tape. I wasn't a fan of Talon's rubber grip because it didn't add much benefit for me. Making a slip-on grip using a bicycle inner tube provided better grip than the Talon rubber one. I recommend Talon's granular grip since it provides more grip than even stippling does.Originally posted by G. I've run the sandpaper style on my competition guns for years. Absolutely love them. Rock solid, and actually have lasted far longer than I expected. Can get a little uncomfortable when taking a high-round count shooting classes, but that's what bandaids are for.
The rubber model would be more comfortable for CCW carry, and would do less damage to the inside lining of your clothes. The downside is that they do make the gun feel wider/larger in the hand.My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.Comment

I use the rubber ones from Talon.
Love them!
Take care

I wanted to try one of these for quite some time. But I'm worried about all the residue and goo it might leave on my firearm.sigpic
