Hi calguns I was hoping I could have some of you with more knowledge help me out. About 3 years ago I bought an AR lower that I registered as a pistol. I never build it so its completely stripped. I no longer need It and wanted to see if I could sell it. I am a LEO and do not want to break the law. Even though it seem like the law changes monthly which makes it complicated to know everything especially as of late. I would like to know if I can sell the lower in the marketplace or to a gun store? Thank you for your time.

Is this a fishing expedition for the next anti 2A bill??
You are LEO!
You are supposed to know the law as the most important part or your job. But, you go on the interwebs and ask civilians about the law??
Your station commander should know the answer if he earns his pay.
Not a good first post. -

You can sell it via PPT (Private Party Transfer) as PPT's are roster exempt. I hope you kept the original DROS paperwork showing that it was DROSed as a pistol. Most FFL's won't transfer them as a pistol unless they were originally done so and the seller can prove it.Hi calguns I was hoping I could have some of you with more knowledge help me out. Post it up in the market place, I'm sure it will sell fast.
Also, disregard what other may have said. Some of us understand that there are so many laws that there is no way a LEO can know them all.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
