    Python Arrival

Anyone have a reasonably decent estimation of when these could arrive in CA?

I'm wondering if this is something I can out a deposit on.

They'll be available as soon as they ship. Though you'll have to use the SAO Exemption until it hits the roster.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

More than likely they will be on the roster within a couple months.

They come in 4.25" and 6" so 2 would be reasonable.

Python will return. It’s just like the king Cobra returned. The original hand fitted quality will not. But it will be a nice revolver like se688 with rip barrel.

I own three of the old Pythons and 2 .357 magnum Colt Revolvers, which was the predecessor to the Python in the 50's. I never shoot them with magnum ammo. I usually use 38 special. I may run a cylinder of lightly loaded magnum ammo but that is all. I think that this new Python will be as durable as a Smith L frame. Hope to get one in each barrel length and shoot them more than my old Colts. The King Cobra I have has a great trigger pull. My main complaint is the skinny trigger which makes for an uncomfortable double action pull. I think that the new Python solved this problem and should be a great shooter.

I've been looking to buy a Colt Python for a while now. I'm happy they re-released it, but I'm hunting for the original with a blued finish. While this isn't what I'm looking for, I'm hoping it will bring down the prices of the used ones enough so that I can get one.
