They are worked right out of the box with:
    - 5# or 6# trigger.
    - (Some expensive 1911 has 4# trigger)
    - Standard factory recoil spring
    - Standard factory main spring
And then people start to "PLAY" with it by do the "trigger modification" to bring the trigger pull down to 3.5#, swap the main and recoil spring and ….. I am in this group .
Again, it works right put of the box, just open the box, get ammo and shoot it.

My RIA was $429, fully cleaned and polished internals with a Dremel. It has a super crisp trigger and functions 100%.

I took the advise of a very experienced 1911 smith and just run the factory RIA mags. He says if a 1911 won't run it's almost always a mag issue. Fancy crap is still crap.

By the way, what separates the TRP from the Loaded?

There are different versions of each one but as a example lets use the stainless model. The TRP will have front strap serrations, magwell, night sights and a better slide to frame fit. I have 6 full size Springfields both loaded and TRPs. All have functioned good out of the box with the TRPs being better. I have changed at least one thing on each gun and a lot more on a couple because it made them shoot so much better. You can't go wrong with a loaded model but for the extra money a TRP is the way to go. And now for a shameless plug if you live in SoCal I am selling a SA Trophy Match.

I've had great luck with Springfield 1911's. They all ran right out of the box and the one time I needed service (barrel lug broke after 8,000 rounds) they fixed it, had it back to me in under 2 weeks, and paid shipping both ways.

My loaded 9mm is probably the funnest gun to shoot that I own.

There are issues with the RIA guns? Do tell, because thousands of RIA owners don't seem to have any issues.

At one time I owned both an RIA Tactical and a SA Range Officer.

                          I still own the RIA.

Half the fun of a 1911 is working on it. I don't like working on expensive cars either.

                              Exactly.
I own and use all grades of 1911's, from RIA to Nighthawk Custom, and many in between. My preference in collecting leans to the various clones produced by makers other than Colt; in nearly forty years of shooting various 1911's (from a young age), good maintenance practices, quality ammunition, and proper handling by the owner are a huge component. Just about all have run 100% from the box.
