I’d have no problem buying a new one over an old one. If the new ones are royal blue I’d take that over an old one any day.

Edit: I don’t see the old ones ever going down in price. Nobody that bought one for the 3k + they’ve been going for is going to take a 500+ dollar loss and will just keep it.

Hopefully we get some sort of official announcement soon, the main thing I am concerned about is how does the bluing hold up to the original.

It sounds like Colt it trying to get back into making revolvers and turning a profit while doing it. This might take them some time to get it right, or not.

              $2k? Lol.

              I'd rather buy a GP100.

I hope Colt hits it out of the park on this one, and if the quality is there then I'd have no issue forking over the dough.

Personally I'd never spend that much on a revolver, but hey, for all the people who have been screaming for a Colt Python re-release for decades, this is your time to put up or shut up.
You sure.. I remember buying a 6" blue Python in the mid 80s for $700ish..

Tuna was quoting prices based on inflation. In other words $700 in the mid '80's had the buying power of around $1,700 today.

What is $700 in 1985 dollars, adjusted for inflation today?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we won't get those in CA. will we?

We will get them, there are currently 6 variants of the Cobra and King Cobra on the roster. Rest assured, Colt will add the Python as well. I can’t think of any reason why they wouldn’t, CA is a big market.

I hope you're right, but CA is a big market for a lot of guns we can't have
