How do I do this legally?

Now that I'm not on my phone, I looked into it a bit.
California Penal Code sections 27875 or 27920
This says it was effective January 1, 2015 but law was amended from 2014. Anyone know what date the transfer was actually required to be registered? If you're given a gun on your 18th birthday in 1990 for example (not me, not my age!), and you filled out no paperwork, was that legal then?Comment

1992, so yes, in 1990 that would have been a legal paperless transfer. Now that I'm not on my phone, I looked into it a bit.

Now, let's talk about proper forum behavior.
If someone asks a question about CA law (that doesn't require the 'get a lawyer' response), at Calguns we reply with the correct information that leads to obeying the law. Suggesting an illegal act is a violation of terms of membership.
That's correct forum behavior.
What one actually does out here in meat-space is your own affair.Last edited by Librarian; 12-11-2019, 10:11 AM.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

A good reminder. I have always been curious about the details, and wanted to keep away from the "don't say that here! Here's the story you should tell" kind of responses. I guess I didn't keep far enough away from it.
ETA:
That link is awesome. All my gun law miscellany curiosity has been filled! (for now
