Well us normal folks are "stuck" with the G26 and Shield. Sure they aren't the latest whizzbang, but they are available here. Too bad the permits aren't.

Don't forget the XD9 Subcompact. A handful of other subcompacts out there too, but not quite as diminutive (dang, had to google how to spell that!) as the Shield.

I shot one. It worked, but I wasn't wowed by it. It felt like any other SC carry pistol. I didn't feel that the grip was equivalent to the hype. Frankly, it felt like a fresh stipple job that someone ran sandpaper over. If you already had a P365, you could've gotten the 15 round mags during freedom week basically equalizing capacity with the Hellcat. I think the P365XL feels best, but I don't really like that pistol either.
Even with this introduction into the micro pistol world, I still saw no reason to trade out the Shield. Like many new/hot items in the world, it's the hype that gets people to pay ridiculous prices for diminishing returns.Comment

I shot one in a match and put two mags threw another one. I don't have the look or trigger but its not replacing my p365. Also it was snappy for me.The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!Comment

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Hell Cat
Back to Dirtlaw's #1 post....just my 2 cents with the Cat:
Best to Least for me:
Size/ Concealability in pocket: G43/ P365 & HC tied
Ergo/ Sights: HC/ P365/ G43
Trigger: P365/ HC/ G43
Known Reliability: G43/ P365/ HC
Notes: I really like the HC's flat trigger, but it's a bit heavier than the Sig and Glock. Sig's trigger is good but not as crisp. G43 triggers come between 4 to 8 pounds stock so it's what you end up with.
Springfield striker guns generally have terrible resale....the Hellcat is fairly new and hard to get at the moment but doubt if it'll be as availble as G43
Good luck on your quest, they are all good in my book!

Is that not contradictory to your accepting something as fact via "reading" it as someone elses "first hand" account? While you dismiss actual owners true first hand experience.
You do understand first hand experience is your own personal, not what some one on the internet claims to be fact, yes? Maybe not if you did not see the obvious sarcasm of the poster you called out as if you seem to get something he did not.
The guy you are referring to is well known XD / SA hater and you see his rhetoric repeated in forums. You also see it debunked. Watch his caliber vids, he also a misogynist, contradicts himself, and has an obvious anger problem. In other words he commands zero credibility. But you know, some folks understand bias better than others perhaps.Comment
