I’m in the only change trigger shoe out for apex and leave the rest of guts OEM. Keeps it reliable and the flat face give me consistency on the draw with trigger placement unlike that I had with the stock shoe and protruding safety blade.

I have the Travis Haley Skimmer 4.5lb combat trigger on my 17, 19 and 26. Closes thing to a 1911 trigger. No complaints.

You can do the .25 trigger job, change the trigger spring and connector. But the best Glock triggers are in guns that have been shot a lot, after around 3500 rounds it will be much better after 5-6000 it will be a lot better. With or without the above mods. The best thing for a Glock trigger is to use it.

As the general consensus, I primarily agree. They are two completely separate systems. Striker fire vs single action. No Glock can feel anything like a 1911.

I’ve been doing trigger jobs for almost 2 decades and have learned that smoothness is more important than weight. People think every trigger must be under 2lbs! LOL! I don’t even use light connectors on Glocks anymore. Stock 5.5lb with a heavier trigger spring is all I use anymore. And of course, make everything high polished. But as was already said...stay away from the Dremel! Triggers like FLAT surfaces, and Dremels aren’t very good at flat! Use Stones & Polish. Ends up being about 4.5-5lbs, smooth as silk and that great reset only the stock connector can provide.

Glock trigger mods only turn the spongy trigger into a lighter spongy trigger.

Do you not like the feel of the Glock trigger or are you having a hard time being accurate?

A Glock will never be a 1911 trigger but that should not inhibit your speed or accuracy

Glock triggers are mushy. I like a clean breaking trigger. I LOVE 1911s but I think I would prefer not to carry one. My fear would be if it's loaded and cocked and safety is on, can I imagine a situation where I accidentally take down the safety and have a ND/AD because of how exquisitely sensitive the trigger is? I can imagine such a scenario. Also carrying with the hammer back I would worry there's more opportunity for junk to get in the mechanism, vs. Glock where it's all covered up.

For carry I'd rather have the 1911 and not accidentally release the safety, but since that will always be a possibility - and carriers please tell me if it is a stupid concern and I'm analyzing incorrectly - I'd rather have the increased safety of the striker fire trigger safety even though I hate the mushiness of the trigger.

(FYI I'm equally accurate with a striker fire as compared to a 1911. Honestly I can't imagine anyone with decent technique is any better on one platform vs another.)

Finally - if anyone read the other post I put up - I'm now leaning toward Sig P365 with or without SAS instead of Glock 26. The Glock 26 is so tiny - I have small hands and it felt small even for me.

The SAS sights look really cool, like having a red dot. I'm wondering how they work. I've looked up every video I could find and there's just not a lot of practical stuff out there like "I use it every day and it's awesome," or "I use it every day and it's lousy." There's a lot out showing how it works. I just wonder if for practical purposes it really works.

You should try a Kahr. I think they make the perfect CC gun that fits the hand well, but it has a DA trigger that will never be like a 1911.

My trigger is still a Glock trigger but the take up is smoother and the pull is lighter. Here is what I did.
                          1. 25 cent trigger job
                          2. Replaced the serrated trigger with a smooth one like in the full size guns
                          3. 3.5 ghost connector

I didn't do anymore as this is my house gun and I wanted to keep the reliability. The trigger isn't 1911 great, but accuracy has improved considerably. It is a lot closer to a Walther PPQ.

I’ve carried many different pistols, but mostly Glocks. Unfortunately, right after my accident in 2014, I got rid of all my guns thinking I would never shoot again. I know..I know, but all I can say is try living 36 years and then being disabled & having an arm taken! Plays on the mind.

Anyway, got over feeling sorry for myself and immediately built another 1911. I’ve carried it for the last 5 years, but getting older now I wanted something much more concealable.

This is my new carry gun. And YES..I only build my own firearms now. Ok, sorry for the long story. I certainly wouldn’t call the trigger “mushy”. And for those that think the 26 Grip is small, well I agree. Hence the 12rd mags. Now I have huge paws! And I can just barely get my pinky on. But there is NO extra grip whatsoever. But I’m not sure you would like 365. It’s about the same length and much, MUCH thinner! Uncomfortably thin to me. Again, with my meat paws!

The P365 is smaller than the G26.
