I am not an expert but so far as I can tell if you handle the threaded barrel issue you can bring it in like an off roster pistol.

A 10 round mag must be used and the barrel thread needs to go away either by welding and pinning a thread protector or grounded off. You can also install a new barrel without any outside threads.

Or you can install a 10 round mag with a mag lock if you’d rather keep the barrel threads.

JTROKS got it right. The Velocity VMAC is legal to own with those modifications.

Since you know about the roster and our limited selection of handguns be sure to buy anything you think you may want to own before you move.

I can pin a muzzle devices over those threads or I can also machine the threads off for you.

Standard configuration VMAC45-100 and MPA 10 are legal if you install (and pin/weld) a thread protector or grind away the threading. Another option appears to be to install a mag lock device on the gun so that you can keep the threaded barrel. This option limits one to using a 10 round mag. You might be able to purchase a mag lock from MPA.

After you have done one of the above options, you may bring them to California. They are not on the Handgun Roster. However, handguns moved here from out of state are exempt from California's Roster of Handguns.

If one brings firearms into the state when moving here, one is defined to be a personal firearms importer. PC 27560. You must report the firearms to the DOJ within 60 days by completing a New Resident Handgun Ownership Report.

But he can not bring those mags with him, nor can he get any after he move's here.

Had the compensator welded like the 2011 guys do, and left the mags back in Pennsylvania. I’ll order a few 10rd magazines in a week or two.

I don't know anything about the Velocity guns, but if you like that sort of thing, take a look at the MPA ones that use Glock mags. If you like them, get one while you can.
