    I once owned a SW model 19, 4 inch, .357
It was beautiful, smooth as silk and packed a punch.
Fit my hand like a glove with Pachmeyer grips.

OTH, you tell us nothing about the SW you're considering.
    Whats the SW model available?

      S&W without question.

      What's your purpose for it?

If you have to ask maybe you shouldn't have a gun. For the future always the Smith.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

thanks for the advice randy... i've actually given up my SA 1911A1 to get a 357. the main purpose of the 357 is home defense. it will sit in conjunction with my shotgun. besides that i've always wanted a 357. i love the fact that it is capable of more than just 1 load. i reload and i love options.
