My first HK

Well,

Just picked up my first HK pistol and so far I love it. Pistol was new in box, despite being a few years old. Been reading about putting a LEM trigger in it and was wondering what people thought?

I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the LEM trigger. I personally get along just fine with the DA/SA although it did take a little getting used to for the first 5 mins of dry firing. Not a big deal for me, others act like its the end of the world and complain that HK "effed up" the trigger. They dont consider that HK designed it to be exactly like that because, big surprise, its a "combat" handgun meant to be issued to the lowest common denominator. It is what it is. I can't miss with any HK. Good choice OP.

The LEM may seem a little strange at first, but within a few magazines, I was smitten.

I didnt like the LEM on a P2000 I had. I don't think it would work well on a USP45.

I don't love the HK LEM trigger (prefer glock) but the P7 trigger is magic

I own 2 HK's, a USP .40 compact and USP 9 compact. I installed the LEM trigger on both of them and would never put them back to DA/SA. LEM trigger is like shooting single action for every shot but has the safety of the long but light initial trigger pull for the first shot for carry. Once you get used to it, you can automatically take up the slack for the first shot and it is like single action. Trigger reset is very quick and short and each trigger pull is consistent, unlike DA/SA.

I got my LEM trigger kits from EuroOptic.com because they are at least $50 less expensive than HKParts.com and have fast shipping. Even when they were back ordered I placed an order and the parts were back in stock fast.
