    .22 LR or .45 ACP

I have a dilemma. I just completed a Kimber Stainless II lower. Ignition parts are Cylinder and Slide Tac 2 4# while the rest are Kimber parts. Pretty happy with it.

I have a Les Baer .45, and I have a Buckmark .22 LR, but I’m not sure which way I want to go with the Kimber. Right now the choice is to finish it off as a .45 or buy the Kimber .22 LR conversion kit.

    Any thoughts?

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I picked 45 ACP, but since you already have a Les Baer and a Buck Mark, why not get a 38 Super or 9mm top?

          9mm would make sense.

What do you want to do with it, plink economically or defend your home? But I vote 45 for coolness.

Split the difference and get a real caliber, .32 Long Colt.

And we all know what they say about opinions.

On topic, a Kimber is about the last choice I'd make for a .22 conversion top end.

You could start by a little google..."kimber 22 conversion kit problems" and go from there. Kimber simply re-branded kits from Jonathan Arthur Ciener...about the lowest quality kit available.

More info a decent conversions in the .22 forum here.
