I'm not shooting as much because I just don't have the time. I've actually sold some of my .22 stash and might sell off some 9mm.

Switching to adult green gas airsoft auto pistols that have same size weight and trigger pull as real 1911s for practice. Sight picture and trigger squeeze. Save the ammo for the Goblins...

Switch to revolver or bolt action

To make your ammo last longer, try shooting 22 revolver (e.g. S&W 17 or 617) for accuracy, or a bolt action 22.

That brick of ammo will last two range sessions instead of one, and you will probably shoot more accurately than when blasting away with a GSG or 10/22.

I have been shooting my old Winchester 75 a lot recently, and it is so accurate that its scary.

Being unemployed I've had more time on the range lately, but I'm shooting more rimfire.

not me... i still have my ammo but usually gets used by my friends or wife (the non .38 stuff). my wife has about 800 more of her 38 special. but i've not cut back on range time since i've been using the rifles more.

so to relearn some more pistol stuff, i bought a browning buckmark today. my wife's a great sport. they had federal .22lr 40grain on the shelf at wally world. told her to get it all. no questions asked. so now, we both can shoot the browning and shoot the gsg-5 for the next 2 -3 months or so w/o trying to scramble around for ammo. she already shoots better on her 5-shooter and even my HK usp than me. so she'll probably be even better on the buckmark once she finds out i actually have a buckmark now. LOL

            p.s. hoarder haters begone!

You can find me at the range pretty often soon after the gun show comes to town, shooting through a pile of reloads. Then I'm out. I'm saving the few hundred rounds of factory I managed to get my hands on.

I too am thinking about buying one of these pistols simply because the ammo is readily available and cheap.

                  range time

I might add a couple of .40 handguns just for availability issue. I'm still at a couple times a month schedule but just more costly now.

                    On a somewhat related question....

Are there any laws about buying ammo from out of state and bringing it to CA? I would certainly hope the answer is no, but in my research this evening (i'm moving to CA in a month or two) I just tonight learned about the "legal handgun roster"
Figured I'd double check and find out about ammo!
