It's a shame that the basic four shop classes are no longer available.
Back in the day they were required for males to graduate.
Wood, metal, electric and drafting were the topics.

I took metal, wood and drafting in junior high.

Shop classes ended decades ago. Money cutbacks hit shop.... you know... useful life skills got axed.... but now they want to mandate 'cultural awareness' or some nonsense....
