Midway USA occasionally sells them for $25, in the different color options. I bought a set of eight in mixed colors, to use as steak knives when I occasionally host BBQ for our liberal relatives. They arrive razor sharp, hold an edge, and are easily cleaned in the dishwasher.
The entertainment value alone is worth way more than what we spent.

So you have eight fighting knives in your silverware drawers?

        LOL

          Yes.
And when I host an annual camping trip and BBQ fest at the beach, we bring out a number of bayonets as well (all of which were purchased as "new" surplus).

Nice fine. 30 years ago I was not interested in Glock but this old dog learned a new trick. They are very nice.

Turners had a G17 Gen 1 for $600 but I was a day late and a dollar short. I think I rather have a gen 1 than pay the CA Premium for somebody's Gen 5. I am very impressed thank you for sharing.

You guys did see this recent thread - right? http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1516786 A fellow Cal Gunner picked up a Gen 1 for 350 bucks. I believe that reinforced the idea in my mind that Gen 1 Glocks were out there at near the same price paid back 25+ years ago when they were new. Do they sell for 600 on average when you can find them - ? Doesn't seem much higher than the Glocks being sold new at stores now, but I have not been paying much attention to Glock pricing for quite a while.

I wonder if the Polymer back in 1987 is the same type as the one they use today?

it seems like it's holding well after over 32 years

they also make a Glock E tool (folding shovel) this would go good with your survival kit , something light to carry on your pack
