still looking...hoping for a price drop soon too
I saw an online seller with it going for that price. The receiving ffl fees would have nullified my savings so I bought mine at Cabela’s for $499 (where I moved to last year).

No, not identical, but close enough that nobody needs to spend a stupid premium just to get a small difference.
The Shield has 7 or 8 rounds. The Magguts extensions make it as big (in height, obviously not width) as a Glock 19.

If you carry, your carry gun is presumably the most important gun in your life. Spending an extra $800 makes sense to me.
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

Love Sigs, don't love roster markup. Our customers can usually do their sig builds cheaper than the PPT market, even with just a single build w/ the bolt action kit.

If $400/bullet works for you, then so be it. I'd rather spend that on a weekend of quality training and a case of practice ammo, and trust that I can get the job done with 8 or 9 plus a reload.

This is a poor analogy. There are comparable cars in California to the Civic, the Corolla for one. However, there is nothing on roster that compares to the P365 in terms of size and capacity. Hence being off roster drives the price even higher than if there was a comparable on roster alternative.

How come all the tricked out rice rockets are Civics? Sure...a Corolla would work...it's almost as good as a Civic. Just like a Shield is almost as good as a P365. A Corolla and a Shield can get the job done. A Civic and a P365 are better...but at 2-3x the cost?

twist it a little, and it's pretty apt...civic LX vs civic type R. both will do the same job, but the R is both better performing, and rarer. hence, if you can find one, there's a steep markup (at least $5k, last i looked).

LOL, Shield, horrendous trigger and the slide is like pulling a compound bow.

Just got a p365 out of jail this week. Pleasure to shoot. And it's still hard to believe this little thing in my waistband holds 10+1.

My Kahr 40 would literally make my thumb knuckle bloody after 100 rounds. The p365 is a pleasure to shoot in comparison. Shot 250 rounds and I could have shot another 250 easily. Barely even kicks. A truly amazing feat of engineering.

I just picked one up at Scheels for the same price. I haven't been looking much but two other shops here had it for $559 and $529, so when I saw it on sale for $499 I jumped on it. Maybe could have found it slightly cheaper but I was already there. It'll be a gift for my dad, but before I hand it over I think I'll take it to the range and try it out, see if it's something I might want. [emoji6] I've only held it, and I know with the 12 round mags it fits my hand perfectly, but with the 10 round mags it's just a hair too small.

Living in LA County I can't conceal carry- but my last few purchases have been CCW guns in case we move out of this county.

I've owned a Shield 9mm for years and love it. I actually carry it IWB around the house and on our property given a few incidents that have happened over past few mos w randoms wandering onto our property= whole other story.

I did PPT a P365 and could not believe how tiny that thing is!!

It really is a great gun.

That being said, I found a great IWB holster for my Shield and don't even know it's there wearing it AIWB.
