Hi, I wanted to hear your opinion here on my next project about making a AR pistol with pump action upper.
All reason I'm doing this is, I'm not a big fan of fixed mag and happy to trade off "semi-auto" function if I can get a regular mag release and detachable magazines, just like Troy PAR and easier operation than pulling charging handle every shot.
* Buy a Franklin CA7
* Build a 10.5" barreled PUMP upper (no gas system)
* Attach a AFG or VFG on pump sleeve
Since this won't be a semi auto and I'm wondering what category this is going to fall. My hope is as it's still under same action format with CA7(manual action), this doesn't call legality trouble. Barrel length will be different from original 7.5". So far my research on OAL and AOW on AR pistol doesn't to seem to have clear answer because my project's final shape is a non-semi AR pistol.
Any feedback and opinion would be highly appreciated. Thanks
