Update: A week and about 600 rounds later, I caved and ended up buying the CGW pro kit. While my wallet is sad, I'm very glad I did it.

What are the benefits of fiber optic sights over the stock night sights?

Great choice going with the PRO Package!

Fiber Optic gives you a nice BRIGHT front sight, except in low light. Fast target acquisition! I prefer fiber optic front with black out rear.

when i bought mines i only put 50 rounds down pipe within a month of owning it and ended up installing cgw parts. didnt go with the pro kit but mimic someones parts build on here. i went with

20 hammer strut (its a pain in the arse to remove hammer pins)
54420 ultra light kit
hpin hammer pin
rhk manual safety hammer kit
12-rs recoil spring
rp-trs reduced power trigger return spring
s-spacer s-spacer sear spacer
6sao single action aluminum trigger
tr-pin floating trigger pin

im down to around 2 lbs with fire pin block removed. plan on getting an s2 soon so this project is done for me.

I wasn't planning on upgrading mine for a while but I GOT to shorten the trigger in DA. I can live with the trigger weight and reset point, but the thing is if I'm going in to do the shorten trigger, I might as well drop a new hammer in, and SRS kit.
