    A "Snake" returns

Looks like Colt is bringing back the King Cobra; though to me it looks like a full lug Lawman.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Too bad it's the wrong snake. MSRP is $899 on these. If they offered a 6" model, I'd maybe be interested. Don't understand why they'd release a midsized revolver with only a 3" barrel.

I'd probably get one if they do a 4" version.

It's like an SP101, only a couple of hundred dollars more expensive for no apparent reason.

So why are we not getting a python again? Does Rick Grimes need to walk in and tell them that hes been advertising that dang thing for years bring up mainstream interest?

The best and finest of the "Snake" guns will always be the "Rattler."

It looks like it was completely designed by a computer and milled out in a hurry without touching any human hands.

I think some companies mistakenly believe we don't want craftsmanship and quality.

They think we only want their name brand.
Names of older quality companies are bought, sold all the time these days and it doesn't mean anything anymore.

The same reason Glock released the 42 in 380 before the 9. Everyone wants a Python. No one would buy a Cobra if they could get a Python.

I also think that Colt has lost the experienced personnel needed to manufacture the Python. You just can't pop that weapon out of a CNC machine. There's a lot of hand fitting involved and someone has to know how to do that hand fitting.

Even after their bankruptcies and other business mis-steps, I still think there is enough business acumen at Colt that they know better than to allow sub-quality Pythons into the marketplace. Once the brand value is diminished, it's real hard to get back.

Get it on the roster and I'll buy one...

...if only to encourage Colt to bring out a new Python.

I wonder if Colt is going to get back onto the roster in California for their revolver line.
