Yep, worst trigger ever, needs smithing to be decent so I have heard, mine sits in the back of the safe waiting to be sent off to be worked over.

Its heavy and stacks towards the end which is EXACTLY how it was designed to be. It doesnt bother me at all. Maybe build up a little finger strength?

I really dont get all the trigger complaints. DA triggers are heavy by design. Thats just reality. I wouldnt call them "crap" it just is what it is.

Thank gawd I dont have soft little baby hands I can pick up a wide variety of guns and shoot them well. I feel sorry for those that cant.

Shoot for $399 it’s a steal. If it was a USP9 I would be all over it as well.

No, serious. I shoot 1911’s with a beautiful, crisp 3.5# trigger 98% of the time so the HK triggers in comparison are crap, granted they are better than Glock but that’s not saying a lot. One can learn, adjust and adapt to anything but I’d rather just have a great trigger instead of having to adapt when I switch from my 1911 to my HK

Hmm... dunno, I have 1911s with light crisp triggers as well. Every gun is different. The only trigger I thought was a little "crappy" was the CZ75 and it wasnt the heavy pull it was the crazy gritty sear face with the nasty looking machining marks they have. Heavy triggers dont really bother me.

What you don’t realize is that stock CZ triggers are diamonds in the rough. Once worked on can be incredibly smooth, with a short reset with very little take up, and crisp break.

Umm... yeah bud, I polished the sear myself thats how I know how ugly it was. And it was still gritty. You really need to just replace the sear and hammer in a CZ75. The stock parts are just too crude, its like polishing a turd. Not really a diamond in the rough at all.

That's a wicked steal for a USP.! I have the p30 in v3 and I've contemplated sending it off to grey guns for cleaning up that DA but its smoothed out fairly nicely and even my wife has gotten good at it. Any of my glock or nothing friends hate that gun. The trigger the decocker the price whatever they can come up with that it's not strike fired. I wonder if I could swap it to light lem

Yeah, I shoot 55#-60# recurves....right-I must have wimpy fingers....sheesh, what a ridiculous comment.

Even the hardcore H&K guys lament the triggers...probably THE most common complaint of everyone including the special forces guys according to the HK rep at the Shot Show. [It seems that those of us that think there is room for improvement in the USP triggers are in good company]

In fact, that was one of the driving forces with the VP 9 design...a better trigger.....and it worked, its a huge success.

A heavy trigger pull has its place in defensive firearms....but mushy, gritty spongy....doesn't. Mine has worn in a bit and improved slightly....but I much prefer a stock Glock trigger over my USP.

Most likely I have opened the door to another money pit, but I have wanted a mill for many years and this was just too good a deal to pass up. I did get it complete with the phase converter and about 5K in tooling. For $1500 I just couldn't pass it up.
