What lb spring is stock? What ammo are you running? 115, 124, 150gr?

There are good reasons why it's half the cost.

Congratz to hear that you got it up and running! I'm sure people way more knowledgeable about 9 mm 1911's will be chiming in to give advice on spring weights. FYI-normal 45 acp is usually 16-18.5 lbs. Usually.

I am not sure about stock spring weight. Colt never state the spring weight but colors. the orivinal spring is green color. I am shooting 115gr CCI blazer brass, PMC and Fiocchi.

I have 7lb to 13 lb wilff spring, so I think 10 works good, but I may try other springs to see what result I would get.

9mm factory is 14lbs usually but 11-14 are all normal spring rates depending on 9mm.

you usually want the heaviest that allows the gun to properly cycle and lock back on an empty magazine.

You want the casings to hit you in the forehead. Glocks do that and they call it PERFECTION.
