To be a Glock 19 killer, you have to do a bunch of stuff BETTER than the Glock 19.

          If it's just another G19 from a different mother, it's not a G19 killer.

Plus, the G19 has a 30 year head start and a whole lot of combat reliability history and aftermarket support. The Arex Delta has none of that.

Glocks are like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Like Gracie said...Only Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will beat Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Glock will only be beat by a better Glock.

If you look closely at that gun you will see that it is nothing more than a Glock 19 with a slightly different shape. All the controls are in exactly the same place and the only thing it has going for it is that it looks different.

The biggest problem they've got if they wanted to de-throne Glock, is that they needed to have started 30 years ago! And they didn't!

Something about the Millions of Glocks already out there.

Hell I have 4 of them.

Kind of late to start now. Now if they had something that was actually different and better they might have a point. But cosmetics alone won't do it!

Do they have a .40 S&W version? Why Not?

I've always thought this was one of the worst and illogical arguments. Well of course the controls are in the same place. What do you suggest they try putting the trigger on the backstrap, the slide lock on top of the slide, The mag release in the middle-side of the grip. The vast majority of pistols are laid out basically the same and Glock had nothing to do with it.

I too own several Glocks and have no problem shooting them well. I personal opinion is Glock's ergonomics are a little lacking. There are several other manufactures that have done better with ergo. I also don't think Glock has a lock on reliability, there are several other guns out there that preform at the same level as Glock, and Glock has had their share of problems.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

When every new double-stack/striker-fired 9mm on the market is touted as a "Glock Killer," what does that really tell you? That all these companies have somehow found a better formula than Glock? Or, that Glock is the gold standard by which all companies wish they could be judged?

James Yeager is a doofus, but he said it best... All guns should be Glocks, all Glocks should be 9mm, and all 9mm Glocks should be Glock 19s. Any other pistol is either a niche tool (competition, deep concealment etc) or a range toy.

It does sometimes have merit. Handgun controls can be all over the place depending on what brand and style you go with. Here are just three examples that are important enough that they play into people's buying decisions when they're looking at guns for serious use:

Where's the decocker located on a CZ vs a Beretta? People have sworn off one brand or the other over this.

Where's the magazine release located on an H&K vs most other pistols? People have sworn off one brand or the other over this.

Where's the slide stop lever located on a Glock vs a Sig? People have sworn off one brand or the other over this.

So no, it shouldn't just be automatically assumed that all pistols have exactly the same controls and that it's 100% okay 100% of the time.
