    +1 here too.

I made room in the safe the other day so I can bring home a S&W 686 Plus four inch. The revolver was just a nostalgic thing and only the second revolver I bought since 1993 or so. (after buying dozens of revolvers in the 1970s and 1980s).

It's very easy. Put both up for sale on the same thread and price it to what you would like for each one and see which sells first.

Is a "mint Gen 2" actually worth more than a beat Gen 2?
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

If he finds the one guy who will give him $2000 then that's what it is worth.

Any Glock that has a few thousand on it is functionally brand new seeing as they will easily go 300k rounds with maybe a couple $7 RSA's. Most people do not drag their pistols through the dirt... so maybe holster wear and barrel finish.

Collectors love brand new in wrap stuff whether it is an old Glock or a Walking Dead toy.

Sell both if you have another handgun dedicated to SD/HD.

If you need one of the two, then sell the Gen 2 since it does not have a rail to mount a light.

Sell them both... then you will have more money to reach your goal quicker and have the extra money you will probably need for the extra that goes with Homecoming expenses...

If you must My Opinion is

Sell the RTF... Finding an RTF 17 is easier if you want to have another.
You can't get a nice Gen 2 often...
The Gen 2 17 is perfect with no rail or finger grooves with real Tennifer & no MIM in your perfectly strong 9mm 2 pin frame.

One buys guns for one's enjoyment.

One saves money for the needs of one's family. Certainly your Baby is worth the savings.

If you sell a gun, forever you shall say, "That Homecoming cost me my Glock."

If you use some of the savings, you can forever say, "I saved my money to make sure my Baby got what she needed."

                        You choose.

And it can't be so much for a Player like yourself to recoup the payout. Just cut back on the Cristal for a couple of weeks.

Some pimp you are. Don’t have enough cash for a homecoming that you have to sell a gun lol

Unless this is another cry for attention it doesn’t make sense. I have never sold a gun to pay bills, I budget and save.

Not a matter of budgeting or having the money at all. I never go into savings because I'm Jewish. I never use this damn thing, so why have it when my daughter needs some stuff for her special event? I sure can't take it with me when I kick the bucket.......

Totally agree. Do what you want. I suspect most kids are not going to know what to do inheriting dozens of Glocks besides shoot a few of them and sell the rest. I see it happen a lot. If you want to sell one or some, more power to you. What's more useful? A box of guns or knives on the shelf when you have five boxes of them, or $10k ?
