    Custom 1911 work.

If you had a choice between sending a V-BOB to the Dan Wesson custom shop or Nighthawk Custom who would you pick?

Dan Wesson. Sending it elsewhere would probably void the warranty. NHC is a great shop, but look to them if the original manufacturer let’s you down.

Not a new gun. No warranty.

The slide is looser than I would like so it's getting a slide to frame tighten job. I didn't notice some of the issues when I PTP this. The barrel lockup is fine but the bushing looks as though it was fiddled with. Can be turned with a pinky finger.

Like AK-47 tolerances, lol. The finish internally doesn't show signs of high round count either. I think it came factory loose...

            Are you experiencing bad accuracy?

The one time I fired it it shot very accurate. I've been shooting for a very long time and have had some high quality 1911's in the past. I purchased a Dan Wesson because of the rep for getting more for your money. Maybe I'm picky, my last high end gun was a noname...

Fairly common... rails can be welded and re-cut. Or rails can be peened.

New slide is about $3-4 hundo. Sending it to NH for tighten up is about $200. I want some HI-Power carry cuts and serrations on the top of the slide too. I'm leaning towards NH. Hoping someone has experience with them. It looks like a 4 month turnaround. I'm going under the knife next week so that's almost how long till I'm ready to enjoy it.

HopetonBrown, ain't an accuracy issue on me or the gun. It ain't right. I shake it and it clunks. If I checked it over better I would have never purchased it. I'm not the type of person that puts it back on the market place with "super low round count"...
