Just picked up a sp-01. Feels amazing in my hands and very forgiving to shoot. In a bizzarre way, I shoot a Glock 17 better at the moment but it’s probably I shoot it so much. That will likely change after a few more range sessions with the sp-01.

As mentioned above, the P-01 and SP-01 are both great and you can't go wrong with either. I'd go with whatever is in stock and available when you are ready to buy.

What's the difference between the p01 and the 75BD

The CZ P-01 is a compact, alloy frame, decocker, w/ tac rail.

The CZ75 BD is a full size, steel frame, decocker, w/ short dust cover (No tac rail)

As has been stated above, unless you plan on carrying it a full size CZ (SP-01 or 75BD) is a better choice for range use.

Just echoing what most everyone said:

SP-01: Full size all steel frame
P-01: Compact aluminum frame

Because you plan on carrying, a lighter aluminum frame and compact pistol is a better choice than a full size all steel heavy pistol, so go with the P-01. If you don't plan on carrying, go with SP-01.

I have both the SP-01 and the P-01. Both are fun to shoot but the P-01 is what I carry.

Depends on if the size matters to you a lot or not. I have a SP01 and it's like cheating because of how easy it is to shoot. Practically no recoil and as accurate as can be. I would buy a P01 as well just to have it but no experience with that one yet. I would purchase another SP01 in a NY minute.

I myself bought my very first cz this year the sp01, i like it so much that I'm looking to purchase either the TS or Shadow next. What's weird is three gun shops in my area got them in stock this week almost all at the same week.

There was a big manufacturing run at CZ, we all got a bunch all at the same time. In a couple of months this won't be findable anymore and everybody will have P-01s, just the way it works.

Ok guys went and handled and shot a sp01, 75bd, pcr, p01 and narrowed it down between the pcr and p01

CZ releases 2 production runs a year to CA. A P01 came on the shelf thursday morn, I bought it in the evening. [emoji3]
