First cz purchase

So I'm looking to pick up my first cz handgun
Stuck between the p01 and the sp01 I know it's not really apples to apples because of size difference anyone own or shot both that can weight in
Would eventually like to carry one of them to replace my xd

I love my P01 and since you plan to carry the P01 would be better choice. Smaller and has an alloy frame compared to the all steel SP01

CZ's are nice but being all steel makes them slightly heavy, especially when loaded.

IMHO, weight is only a disadvantage in a carry gun or a duty weapon. Range toy or competition gun? Perfect!

I have both the SP-01 and the P-01. They're both the same gun, just one is compact with an alloy frame. That said, the SP-01 is super accurate; the P-01 is also accurate, but not as much.

I just shot both today, along with my RAMI and Glock 19 & 17. There is no comparison at the range, SP-01 hands down. On the flip side, there is no comparison when carrying, P-01 hands down. Or even consider the RAMI for carry if you wanna go with CZ, that is my truck gun.

I have a stock SP-01 Tactical that, after today, will be coming out the safe and into HD rotation, replacing my 19 as my nightstand gun. I am more accurate with it than I am with the 19, and with better follow ups.

Maybe consider the RAMI if you are looking for concealment. The P-01 is primarily used as my camping gun and I love its size and heft, compared to the 19.

I have the 2075 Rami, P-01, 75B, and 75 SA. Love them all. Can't go wrong with any CZ. But P-01 is the way to go if your going to conceal carry it.

Also have both. As others have said, carry/HD with the P01. HD/target/range SP01. The weight of the P01 for carry is negligible with a good holster. The SP01 is simply a f*cking beast of a full size pistol that purrs like a kitten when shooting (especially with cgw/czc upgrades).

Also, the PCR is a good choice if you don't want a rail. I went back and forth and opted for the P01 just in case... however likely I won't ever throw a weapon light on it but the option is there nontheless.

P01 has an aluminum alloy frame so it's smaller and lighter not just because of size. I like steel and heft so I'm biased. All the other bases have been covered for you to make an informed decision.
