CZ firearms are of excellent quality and value although I don't know about their pricing nowadays as they may have gotten caught up in all the panic buying and resulting price gouging.
I picked up a CZ40B and CZ-75B SA both in 40SW for $249 and $298 respectively just before the implementation of Commiefornia's HSC requirement. They are solid, reliable and accurate pistols.

I have a CZ 75B in 9mm with the Kadett adapter kit. Both function very well and are priced, IMO, at the right point.
Being a long time Sig owner with pistols which all had the manual decocker, my first instinct was to own the CZ 75BD. I couldn't get it at the time and since my craving was at it's peak, I "settled" for the CZ75 with manual safety. Having done that, I am glad I have the pistol in that configuration as opposed to the BD version. Offers more flexibility, IMO.Comment

I like the CZ's quite a bit. They feel a lot more solid than the polymer stuff, gives me a feeling of confidence when I hold one."You can't stop insane people from doing insane things with insane laws. That's insane!" -- Penn Jillette

Fantastic gun. Probably the most underrated gun out there IMO. The triggers can use some work but definately fits the hand well, points straight, pleasurable to shoot, reliable and price is more than reasonable for what you get.

I have both a CZ-75B and a CZ-83. They have both been 100% reliable. I like shooting them more than my glocks.
The only thing that I don't like about the 75 is that it nails the person to the right of me with my brass every time at the range. Makes for some angry shooters to my right.

I have one of the early compact 40's and the gun is fine; the issue was/is with the mags.
Mine loves all of the following:
CCI blazer brass
180 grn TMJ Miwall reloads
155 & 180 grn Winchester law enforcement JHP's
It absolutely doesn't like Federal Hydra-shocks for some reason so I carry the Winchesters in it.
Using my full size Meg gar mags from my 75B it takes everything; so it is the compact mags that are the issue (early ones only apparently).Comment

That's not unusual with the CZ75's, go to www.gunsprings.com and order yourself a stronger recoil spring.
