Oh, OP has P220. what is your current grip width?
I will check grip width around trigger later,
for P226(it's fat really) / Kahr PM9(single stack) / CZ SP-01 (slim) / Sig SP2022 (I feel she is not so fat)

I was reading the specifications from the manufacturers, but I read the 220 to be measured at 1.2 inches.

That was my thought exactly. But it sure feels like a singlestack with thin aluminum grips. I think it fits the bill perfectly.

Ruger SR45 has everything you asked for, except of course, it is a .45.

Did anybody ever mention to you how much better the .45 round is compared to that pipsqueak 9mm?

The OP's criteria can indicate any full-size or "Commander"-sized 9mm 1911 with a rail. It's a good thing he said off-roster is OK.

PS: If the OP gives up the full-size and single-stack requirement, but still has a firearm originally coming with 10-round mags nation/world-wide AND on-roster, then the HK P2000SK comes to mind. I'm a Glock-guy and I'd go with the Glock 26 (Gen3 on roster) and give up the light-rail in favor of going old-school with a handheld light (which my training includes having even with a weapon-mounted-light, anyway).

Just watched IV8888 Gun Gripe #161 "This gun doesn't fit my hand."

                Reminded me of this thread.

                Might want to watch.

I understand the sig p365 fits this idea but I'm not entirely sold on using a smaller framed handgun for home defense. Also my fault not on being concise enough, but I'm looking for a handgun that isn't designed as a high capacity handgun and simply worked around by making it a single stack. I guess what i'm wanting is a handgun that has a smaller grip or what you may say for a circle "circumference."

Nobody's hands are the same and guns have different forms that differ so comfort does matter. Training through discomfort and adapting is something you do when it's issued. When you're a civilian and you have access to multitudes of weapons with different grips and they offer nearly the same reliability, you'd be mistaken to pick something that wasn't feeling natural to you.

Sounds like the OP is looking for a HIPoint C9, it doesn’t have a rail though
