Looking for a specific handgun...

I'm looking for what you guys believe could fit these criteria.

• Polymer or Metal frame works
• Single stack / 10 Round magazine capacity
• Range gun / Home Defense
• 9mm
• Rail system to maybe add a light
• On or Off Roster
• Reliability obviously

If you could also maybe add the price of what it would be generally if it is off-roster, that would be appreciated.

I'll bite. CZ 75 SP-01 would be the perfect candidate except it's not a single stack.

Your criteria actually includes 100s of handguns. Perhaps you should visit a range that rents handguns to get a better idea of what you want.

There are a plethora of handguns that are single stack 9mm with a 10 round capacity? To further clarify, I'm not wanting to use extended magazines either if this narrows the selection down. I would like to have the magazine sit relatively flush with the end of the magazine well. I understand the sig p365 fits this idea but I'm not entirely sold on using a smaller framed handgun for home defense. Also my fault not on being concise enough, but I'm looking for a handgun that isn't designed as a high capacity handgun and simply worked around by making it a single stack. I guess what i'm wanting is a handgun that has a smaller grip or what you may say for a circle "circumference."

There are double stacks that have thin grips and fill like a single stack such as a CZs with think aluminum grips. Or VZ grips. I say try out different guns a see which one you like the feel of.

^^Agreed.^^ CZ SP-01 with thin aluminum grips feels like a single stack.

Hi-point C9 has an extended magazine that holds 10 rounds in single-stack arrangement. You also may find a 9mm 1911 with a 10 round magazine, but it will likely have a baseplate that isn’t flush.

I agree to SP-01, I have one with LOK G10 Grip and it's slim.

Or S&W M&P Shield is not railed but StreamLight TLR-6 can be attached.

OP is obviously new to guns and doesnt know much about the subject. Therefore, whatever he says he wants or thinks he knows, doesnt really matter. In that case he gets the same recommendation all newbies get: Glock 19, XD9, SP2022 or SP01.

I'll admit I'm not an expert on handguns. However, I have shot the Beretta quite a bit in the Marines and I own a Sig P220. I wouldn't want to use a larger pistol with an increased grip width for a few reasons. The first is that it's not as comfortable for myself. This is one reason why I decided to pick up the 220 because it's grip width is a tenth of an inch smaller than the M9. The last reason is that we're in California and there is no additional benefit for me to own a pistol that's built around a larger magazine. This conversation wouldn't be happening if I could shove a 16 round magazine into my pistol. Tear my logic apart I'm all for learning.
