Sig Sauer P290 and Light Primer Strikes

I've been reading about the original Sig Sauer P290. It seems to have been introduced in 2011, but soon replaced with the P290RS with restrike capability.
I understand frequent complaints with the original P290s were light primer strikes. Has anyone owned the original P290, and what has been your experience with it? If you also experienced light primer strikes, was your P290 ever sent back to Sig Sauer and what repairs were done (did it fix the light primer strike problem)?

I've also seen in the Sig Sauer forums that they will occasionally install a "complimentary" restrike capability on some of the older P290s. Has anyone been offered this option? Thanks

Sorry, I can't help you. I have a 290rs and I have never had any problems with mine.

Do you have a 290s? Looking at buying one?

Mine is also the RS version and never had any light strikes. So I guess they fixed the problem.

The RS is nice for using snap caps BTW...

I wasn't offering to sell you mine. I was trying to figure out if you owned a 290 or looking at one to buy.

I've never heard of Sig doing a RS conversion on old 290's. If they are I think it's great. You should call Sig and ask them personally if they will do that to yours.

Call Sig, send it back and see what they will do for you after they inspect it. I would try and angle for a RS upgrade from them, free if you can get it.

That is a Galloway trigger. $25 shipped! It has pre travel and over travel adjustments. They also have a flat trigger option.

Looks like it comes in red, black, or silver. But I would email them and ask about having one done in blue.
