    Davis Custom PPC

Found this Bill Davis custom PPC gun made on a post 82 Smith & Wesson 65. Has the full Aristocrat sight and a trigger stop that allows for near zero overtravel. I opened it up for cleaning and the three things that stood out are how well polished the top of the trigger is, the "pad" that lifts the DA sear. The DA sear is a bit rounded on the bottom and probably accounts for the very even pull. Instead of being attached to the trigger by the usual two pins and flexing front and back during the pull, there's a stud on the trigger and the hand pivots on that, similar to how the hand is on a SA revolver.

The Aristocrat sight rib has a 3 position adjustable front sight.

I don't care for the grips, they're too small, but note how much they fill in the gap between trigger guard and grip frame.

I'm looking for an extended cylinder thumb-latch, not the Hogue version though. Can't recall the brand name, it's shorter and the serrated edge is vertical, about a 90 degree angle. Anyone know the name?

    Looks like a beast.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

          Could it be this?

          Or maybe a Flat latch?

                  Last try.

                  C&S used to make one
                  (picture from S&W forum)

And there was or is a CA Competition Works one

Again, not my picture. But it is on Clark Custom website. I guess they used CCW (Ca Competition Works) parts. Maybe they have some left over?

I would actually be interested in making a custom one. looks like it would be fun to make

Thank you, that's the one - probably did see it in the Dillon catalog, they carried California Competition. And the C&S is right size and style too.

Lowest priced and out of stock ……

                      That thing is badass!
My biggest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

I've been looking for an old PPC gun like that. She's a beauty! Craig Maraviov in Woodland still builds them.

I had the chance to buy one about 15 years back at the old Castro Valley Gun Store on Redwood. Passed on it for some reason, happened to be in a LGS when this one popped up. The SA trigger on the gun is just perfect. The barrel says to use 148 LWC, will put together a few hundred rounds at about 800 fps and see how it does off a rest.
