Glock 19X

My understanding is 19X is a similar gun that was in Army Trials, which makes it interesting. I still can't figure out, how is it better than my current duty Gen5 G17. Plus I hear that some glock 17 magazines will not fit. Still ,many people are really nuts about it. Am I missing something ?

Main difference between the Glock 19X (commerical pistol to stoke the fanboys) and the Glock 19MHS (actual pistol submitted) is the 19MHS had an ambi-dex manually (thumb) safety.

Both of those pistols can not use the 5th gen Glock 17 magazines, unless the baseplate is modified/replaced.

It's the Glock equivalent of a commander sized 1911.

Some people like that size option (compact barrel/slide with full sized grip).

Pretty much, yep. Nice big frame for a solid grip, and a short slide for quick pointing and easily clearing a holster. Best of both worlds.

I G17 and G19 had sex and we all got 19X.....it's nothing special, but it isn't priced horribly, so what ever.

-Glock 19 mags which the 19x can not.

-Glock 17 mags which the 19x can not.
