After years of longing, my 29SF is in jail. She's not new, or even like-new, but now I don't have to put the wear marks on her myself.

                Thank you for the feedback!

I would equate it to more of the G26/G30 line of Glocks... esp with that shorter grip.

It is identical to the G30, G26 is way smaller.

                    that's what she said.

I wonder if a short barreled, high powered gun is a good option for CCW. reason being that a massive fireball will ensue, which probably hurts follow up shots as much, if not more, than the stout recoil (especially at night).

I've tested various brands of 9mm hollow points, and even some low velocity stuff produces pretty significant fireball. not something I would want to deal with when defending my life at night. I imagine this problem is amplified with 10mm...
                    my Benitez goes to 11

A lot of defensive ammo is loaded with low flash powder. The better stuff at least. The 10mm is obviously going to have significantly more blast than a 9mm. Though it could be mitigated with low flash powder.

People complain about the snappiness of 40 and the effect on follow up shots. The 10mm is significantly more than that. So if you've shot a 40 and said "nope", I can't imagine 10mm is going to be better.

A better comparison is a 19/23. The 29 is almost as long and thicker than those.

I have both: Glock 20SF & 29 (non SF) in 10mm, both shoot great, I recommend the Pearce mag bottom +0 for the 29 so you have a place for your pinky. The 29 works with my 36 upper, and the 20SF works with my 21 upper.

For full power 10mm loads, I would get the G20 because the grip of the G29 is too short for me. Even with the extended mags, the hump of the backstrap doesn't fit my hand naturally.

I would go for the glock 20.
