No complains here with frog lube. I've since moved to 1 shot. Much easier to use with the spray can. I think people just end up using too much frog lube and gum up their guns. But that's just me :P

I love Frog Lube! It's great stuff. I use it on my garage door rails. It makes them slippy and all those squeaks and grinding noises go away. The motors work less hard too.

Just wipe it on, wait 15 minutes and wipe it off.

Always used CLP and it has always worked. I have had a little bottle of FP-10 forever... might have got it in 1999 at the Reno gun show. That works too. I've used it when it was in a range bag and didn't have CLP.

Keep hearing good things about he Slip 2000's, but if CLP works and I have some, why bother.

When Frog Lube was being adopted left and right and touted as the best things since the last game changer, I read about how you had to apply it and did a hard pass.

Frog Lube reminds me of the extra sell crap in the office when you buy a car.

I prefer white lithium grease or MILITECH-1. It seems to work well. My only complaint is Militech-1 bottles do not last and the top degrades such that it comes out the side rather than point.

I used Fireclean on my 1911 this week and it seemed ok for the purpose. I won’t buy it again though.

SLIP 2000 freezes in 31 degree weather. It was difficult to lube my AR with a frozen bottle. I won’t use it any more.

Something that does anything like hot wax never sounded like a good idea at all in a machine with moving parts that your life may depend on someday.

I may have to gather all my free mini-tubes I get with triggers, bcgs, etc... and try it on my garage door rails.

On second thought, PL-10 or synthetic grease might be better. I have a big tub of synth grease.

I'm old enough that I was taught using Rem Oil. CLP was the newfangled synthetic. I've become a SLP 2000 guy based on the advice of a retired armorer I used to train with.

Sometimes when I meet someone who has obviously forgotten more about any given topic than I currently know, I just take their advice. That said, of course you have to know enough about whatever subject is at hand to know when someone is BS'ing you.

Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you go with your gut and it pays off. I'm sure lots of people finally caved when they were sent tubes of it by trusted companies like Geissele and Lantac, etc... people have been pushing it like it is liquid gold since the Gen4 Glock was introduced.

Don't overthink your gun cleaning products. I have a plethora of crap I have purchased over the years, but the few constants have been good old Hoppes#9, Kroil and Ballistol. I'm still on the same syringe of Shooters Choice Grease that I bought over a decade ago, and a bottle of Hoppes Gun Oil that is probably older than some of the posters here.

One qt. of automatic transmission fluid will lube a buttload of guns for many years for cheap.

Been using it for 18 years on all my pistols, and rifles that don't require gun grease.

It lubes well and can stand up to the heat easily. It stays in place better than most oils and wipes clean.

I like Redline.
