Did they give you an estimated time frame the work would be done in?

They may have sent it out to another outfit for refinishing. But, it is also possible that they did a boo-boo and trying to buy time. What went wrong is anybody's guess. I saw a piece of their Werk! in another thread here and was kind of shocked. Poor workmanship to say the least.

Sorry it happened to you OP.

As far as I know they don’t do DLC in house and it’s not one of their coating or treatment options. In regards to the previous thread, Jagerwerks recoated the customer’s slide and issued a partial refund. I would give it more time. They’re probably swamped with orders.

Try getting in touch with Steven Hunt at Jagerwerks. He was really helpful and quick to respond when I had a few questions.

Does anyone know if a nitrided gun can be easily stripped back to the base metal? I understand that stuff molecularly bonds to the metal. Maybe that's the hold up. He's probably still trying to figure out how to remove it.

Nitride is easy to remove by sand Blasting it off. I do it all the time.

Good to know. Then that isn't the problem.
