Meh, whatever.
I own several Taurus handguns, revolvers and auto, and gave a 3" model 85 to my sister.
Never had a problem, never had a hiccup.
As long as they keep shooting straight and reliably I'll keep using them.
After a decade already I suspect nothing will change.sigpic NRA Benefactor Life Member / CRPA Life Member / SAF Life Member

I have had several Taurus guns. Three revolvers and one semi-auto. I still have one revolver and the semi-auto. No problems with any of them. I sold the two revolvers because they were odd-ball cartridges (41 Mag and 454 Casull).

I for a time had no problems carrying and trusting my life to a Taurus model 85ch. It always went bang, fit my hands well, was accurate enough for a snub. Only got rid of it because I wanted a stainless version. Got rid of my hammer versions too as I prefer shrouded or concealed hammer snub 38's.Meh, whatever.

I REALLY want to find a Taurus 85ch stainless 38Spl 2in and would probably add to my carry rotation out of state. The model 85 and the PT92 Beretta clones I feel are their best products. I actually prefer the Taurus safety system to the Beretta.
Yes I have had bad Taurus products but also have had bad higher end ones too but just a bit less frequency.
I've had good luck with their pump 22 rifles too.Comment

Not worried about it.
I don't carry it around loaded and when I'm at the range with it, I stick to the 4 safety rules.
Also, it'll be a miracle for my DA Taurus revolver to go off by itself.

I have 2 Smith and Wesson's that did exactly that. I have 2 Taurus revolvers that have never given me a problem.
But, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another from either brand."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill
