    Brothers from a different Father

Two of the greatest gun designers gave birth to two great guns almost 60 years apart.

John Moses Browning gave birth to the iconic 1911 and William (Bill) Ruger gave birth to the Security Six.

And now I own a Security Six and a 1911 made by Ruger.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Browning did give birth to the 1911, Ruger copied it and Ruger did not give birth to the DA revolver but copied it too in a poorer rendition than S&W and Colts.

You DO know he was referring to models, not platforms. Reading comprehension 101.

Bill Ruger said that he lost money on every Six series gun he sold.

Anybody remember the old revolver advertisements where Ruger and S&W would go at each other?
Here's a link with the story and ads from back then, including info on Smith and the Six / GP100 series:

The 80s saw one of the worst revolver battles fought. It didn't play out in the streets; The Great Frame Wars were fought in the pages of gun magazines!

That revolver looks beautiful!!! Does it handle 357 magnums like the GP100?
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!
