    Taurus PT111 & PT145, Experience ???

What are your thoughts and experience with the Taurus Millennium PT111 (9mm) and PT145 (.45)? Both have a 10 round capacity. I have several other full size pistols and I purchased these with Concealed Carry in mind. I find them both very comfortable and not too difficult to shoot even though they are compact models. I just wanted to hear your thoughts and experience with these 2 pistols. Thanks...

    PT140: reliable, shot straight.

PT145: reliable, shot straight but low.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Ive had both models and sold them both years ago.

Mine were both 100% reliable. Just didn’t like the double action feel to the triggers.

Both are reasonably priced and both are under rated IMO.

I carried a PT 745 for a couple years. It was always reliable. Slide finish wasn’t durable, it would rust from summer sweat but I didn’t care since it was EDC that was going to show wear no matter what.

            PT111 G2 is GTG.

PT-111 9mm was one of the smallest most concealable double-stack 10+1 rounders. Smaller and slimmer than my G26 IIRC. Mediocre trigger you can get used to. Doesn't like huge diameter mouth hollow points, but Critical Duty/Defense Flexlocks work great. More like a Shield than a G26 as far as comfort IMHO. The Shield is a much better gun. The G26 is a much better gun. Weird long trigger pull but not horrendous, double-strike capability was cool - DAO. If that's what you have, no reason not to make it work for you. The gen1 isn't drop safe.

I have a pt111 millennium pro, great little gun but the trigger sucks. It's a heavy dao. Just gotta get used to it

I like the pull especially considering it is DAO... reset is OK like Kahr reset is ok... Kahr trigger is significantly better IMHO. If I didn’t hate Taurus I would like the PT 111. If I found it on the ground in the apocalypse and it was loaded... I’d make it work. As of today in this reality it is a shameful waste of space in my safe.

You can't keep Pistol Excellence a secret.

Believe in the tarus rationalizations and pay the price, twice. After you have fought with the factory repair nightmares and paid UPS then you too can tell us how great they are.

I believe in Glock. Not SIG or Taurus.
