It's brushed chrome, but the .44 barrel is stainless and gives that setup a pretty cool look I think.

Looks like just changing the grips is what made all the difference 👍🏻

Somebody did, back in the '90s...apparently the idea never caught on.

Ive owned every big bore gun at one time or another. Sold most of them here. The one I kept is the Desert Eagle. Even a smaller person can shoot it if shown how.

You don't find one! Desert Eagle market is too small to specialize in.
You are the first in 20 years browsing gun forums looking for a gunsmith for a Desert Eagle.

What are you looking to do?

                  Smaller person with giant hands!

I like mine, but haven't shot much due to ammo cost.

Many years ago I bought a Mk VII in 44 mag for what seemed like an obscene amount of money and shortly after started having buyers remorse. Now, I would never give it up. Got a nice load that I load for it which is very reliable, so shooting is relatively cheap. Also, found a range with a whole bunch of steel targets at varying distances for handguns up to 44 mag, which is a whole lot of fun!

I just took a group of kids out to shoot the .357 and that was hands down the show stopper for them

I see them going up for sale quite frequently. I'd get a used one. You can get some good deals on them.
