I like and shoot my 17 better. Go figure. I like the extra grip surface area. I got a lot of slide bite on the 19 when training 8 hour days. Don't get that with the 17. I just needed a little more surface are to accommodate my big meaty hands. I do like the 19, just prefer the 17.

I prefer the 19 for all the usual reasons...it’s a good fighting pistol.

Glock 17 is a good duty pistol. If you carry one for duty it's a great gun. If you conceal more than carry for duty than glock 19 is a better choice. Although, I know guys who conceal glock17/35 with ease....I personally rock a glock 19. I do carry concealed more than duty but carry exposed from time to time and feel the shorter barrel lacks. A lot of police agencies carry glock 19 as a duty firearm too.

Neither. PPQ or VP9 to be more difficult.

19 for me. The grip length is perfect and there’s less empty space in the mag and than the 17.

                  Get both!

There’s talk over on glocktwlk about Glock phasing out the gen 3 and only limited runs for california.

Prices are $500-$550 right now but if people have to wait the prices will increase.

Get the 19 first then the 17, or another 19.

have a gen3 17. had a gen3 19. sold it bc my fingers always felt cramped on the grips and would always have to readjust my grip after drawing from a holster to get my fingers to line up properly in the grooves. shoot/shot both well. considering giving it another go with the 19 if i can find a gen 2/5 at the right price, even though i hate where my pinkie lands on the grip

They are close but lately the 17 sized frames... 17 RTF2 to be specific. Also love the Gen4 .45/10 frame and Gen3 26.

19 fits me way better and I shoot it more accurately. I think the ideal Glock for me would be a 19 RTF2, but sadly only the 17rtf2 is on roster. That being said, i stippled a couple of my G19s and am very happy with them.

Which of the two Glocks has the porcelain frame?

When Detective Sergeant McClain NYPD mentions it you know it's godda be-good.

I like the Glock 17, it feels like a full sized combat handgun, better handling, balance, pointing characteristics feel more steady because it's longer

the Glock 19 kind of feels like a "snub nose" because it's short & compact
