Small Pocket 9mm suggestions

Hey everyone,

I am in search for my next handgun, again! I currently have a glock 19 and shield that takes care of my IWB needs, but am looking for suggestions for a pocket-sized 9mm. I'd love to hear any and all opinions.

Also, if you happen to live in southern CA, and have something along these lines you'd like to get rid of, feel free to PM me; don't post it under this thread because I don't want to break forum rules.

I don't think your going to get a reliable pocket 9 that is all that much smaller than the shield.

Im trying to think of what the heck is roster available and is still smaller than the Shield or the Glock 26. The new Bond Bullpup 9mm would be a perfect pocket pistol but not roster approved. That's the only one I can think of in 9mm. They start going into smaller calibers after that. Im interested to hear other recommendations. None of these are on the roster so used gun sellers would probably ask for a premium price for them. There also not much smaller than the Shield or the G26.

I don’t know if there is a pocket 9mm. I had a lc9 years ago and wouldn’t consider it a pocket pistol. My LCP fits in my pocket comfortably - however, it’s a .380.

Maybe a pm9? Had one but hated the trigger.

+1 on the sig 938. I don't have one but I'd like to get one...if they were on roster and not so expensive on the second hand market.

I do have experience with the ruger lc9. Nice little gun. Recoil is pretty stiff, and the trigger pull is a mile long but when you get used to it it works just fine.

Im thinking the same thing. Anything small enough for pocket carry in a semi auto becomes a .380 or .25ACP. Ill say one thing though. My Glock 26 hides nicely in my front jeans pocket with the proper holster. Only thing though I'm a big guy with big pants.

You might want to consider a 380?
The new offerings in 380 SD ammo puts a pretty nice round down a short barrel 380.
Not many "real" pocket pistols in 9mm. Many will disagree.
Lc380, P380, G42, Seecamp.
I've carried a old S&W mod 37 38spcl revolver in my front pocket?
Lots of "off roster" offerings in the marketplace.

PM9 is smaller than my wallet, really pocket sized.
I changed spring and much better.

sig 938 is the best if you HAVE to have a 9mm. I have carried the 238 for almost a decade in my pocket EVERY day. Never felt "unarmed"

You might want to consider a 380?

I've carried a old S&W mod 57 38spcl revolver in my front pocket?

I would like to see that smith 57 - my smith 57 is a .41 Mag with a 6" barrel - it won't fit in my pocket

LCP .380 disappears in a pocket. Load it with Underwood or Lehigh Xtreme Penetrators or Xtreme Defenders for effect. PM9 or P938 fit pretty well in certain jeans like Wranglers and cargo pants. G43 fits in certain pockets, but is a bit big for many. Desantis Superfly, Nemesis, and Sticky or Remora Holsters work well for pockets, with the Sticky/Remora Holsters also working for IWB. If you want a pocketable .45 for certain pants, the XDs 3.3 .45 Works well, but with limited capacity. But, you can also pocket a G26 if you start heading into the 26 oz territory like a loaded XDs. Remember, half the fun is the hunt. Good luck!

I dont recall the OP specifying safe handguns only?
