    Stan Chen

    Good Day Calgunners!

I wanted to know if anyone has ever had 1911 work done by Stan Chen. Please include pics if you have them. Thanks!

There was a Calgunner who was selling a 1911 that had some work done by Stan. It was gorgeous.

I'm not really into 1911's but if I were looking to get a custom one, I'd call John Jardine. He's a good dude that does top notch work.

You've got a better chance of getting a CCW in SF than a 1911 from Jardine these days. I've been told he doesn't even take any more work at all.

I contacted both Jardine and Chen in the past year.

                            1. Jardine has enough work to do till he dies. Therefore, he will refuse any new work.

                            2. Chen has enough work for the next several years. Therefore, you to be vetted to even be considered for his waitlist.

I used to shoot steel plates with John almost every Saturday at the range. Next time I see him, I might ask him about building me a 1911.
