I’m surprised no one has mentioned Checkmate. Checkmate is the OEM mag manufacturer/supplier for most of the 1911 manufacturers; colt, Springfield, dan Wesson, Remington, Ruger etc. They are all I use and I’ve never had issues.Comment

9mm I've had good luck with Metalform 10 round mags. Affordable and they don't let the top round slide forward impeding mag ejection.
For .40 cal, Tripp Research is the way to go. I've used Checkmate and Metalform, but ended up replacing the guts with Tripp springs and followers. Added bonus: Trip .40 cal mags hold 9 rounds.
For .45, any mags work in my guns. If they don't, fix the gun. You'll save yourself headaches this way.
There's no reason to have to spend $50.00 for a magazine in a gun designed over 100 years ago. Any in-spec mag should work.Comment
