Cause they don't work. Are nothing special.
And most likely clapped out anyhow.Comment

Post them up for sale here. You never know who might want them.

Truly, if the guns are not worth salvaging and your mind is set on disposing of them, then I wouldn't try to selling them through. You'll probably pay more in FFL fees and inconvenience than they're probably worth. I'd recommend just turning them in at a gun buy back. You may get a hundred bucks or more for them.I have 2 old pistols, I obtained them after my great grandmother passed away and we went through the stuff. One is a 32 cal revolver and the other a frame and slide of a 25 cal pistol. The revolver is pretty beat up and unusable as is and the semi pistol is just frame and slide, so possible to get parts to finish it.
I have no need for them and they're probably not worth much at all, but does anyone think it's it's worth it/possible to sell them off through ffl for 20-30 bucks ea or just smash and toss them?Comment

What are the markings on the .25 cal pistol? Sometimes you can get parts yobfor cheap to rebuild it, maybe you can do it or pay a gunsmith to do it. If all the parts are there it shouldn’t take more than an hour to put together. The wise man said just find your place

seriously. For $30 I'd buy the 32 cal revolver from you, now, sight unseen. Assuming you were local (so we could meet at an FFL. Duh.).
restoring it would make a super fun project after the kids go to bed.Last edited by Whiterabbit; 01-05-2018, 2:22 PM.Comment

Hi OP,
Sell them here. I posted a cruddy piece of junk 22 revolver for $50. Even warned everybody it was a worthless piece of poo.
Had a ton of folks wanting it. Nearly all were amateur gunsmiths who could buy a piece of junk cheap to practice their gunsmithing skills.
Sell it here cheap and help out one of our amateur gunsmiths.^^ Said by some lunatic on the internetComment

Wait for a gun buyback in your area and turn them in for $100 each.I have 2 old pistols, I obtained them after my great grandmother passed away and we went through the stuff. One is a 32 cal revolver and the other a frame and slide of a 25 cal pistol. The revolver is pretty beat up and unusable as is and the semi pistol is just frame and slide, so possible to get parts to finish it.
