S&W Model 669 magazines

I just bought a 9mm S&W model 669 and am having trouble finding magazines for it.
With a general "Google search" I get many sources, but all: "Out of stock, discontinued, unavailable, etc."
Does anyone know of a source?

I can't speak with certainty about the Model 669 specifically, but for many older (Gen 2 or Gen 3) S&W semi-autos, you're likely going to have to rely on ebay, gun shops, gun shows, and forum members (here and on other forums). Might be a good idea to stock up on Wolff mag springs too, because you're likely to find used mags will need a spring refresh to function as expected.

S&W 69 series (469, 669, 6904, 6906, 6926, 6946)...

S&W discontinued them and stopped manufacturing magazines in 1999.
MecGar and ProMag have also discontinued making the S&W 69 series magazines.

The S&W 69 series magazines, OEM and aftermarket, can still be found on the auction sites in varying conditions.

Numrich has new condition factory S&W 69 series 10 round magazines in stock

Alternatively...

You can also check to see if the Lionheart Industries LH9C (Daewoo DP-51C) magazines will work in your S&W 469.

The Daewoo DP-51C and S&W 6904 could use the same magazines.
The Lionheart Industries LH9C is the current version of the Daewoo DP-51C and manufacture/importation of those magazines is still on going.

The 59 series magazines will also work but they will stick out a bit.

I have a 5906 and 6906 and just want to post OEM and MecGars are the best mags.

Here’s a video of alternate mags when shopping around.


If you know someone with a Sig P229 or a Beretta 92 compact, you can try and see if they will go in the gun. They will require modification for the mag catch notch. Lion heart LH9 mags are another option.

Ebay and Gunbroker. Keep in mind many of these magazines are 12 round. It can be a bit hard to find the 10rd versions. Anything for 2nd and 3rd gen S&W pistols ifls just going to get harder to find and more expensive get them while you can.

The over 10 round magazines for guns like the full size 9mm and 40 versions are an exception but parts and mags otherwise are getting more expensive.
