Glock Owners-Complete slide purchase options?

Thanks for all the information, thus far. A couple of questions.

1. Do ZEV slides require ZEV parts for the glock to function properly or could one just purchase a ZEV slide to simply replace the glock slide?

2. Does your factory designated glock holsters still fit with these after market slides?

- i have no experience with zev, but all the other brands i have used function just fine with each other. i have occasionally seen aftermarket barrels that are a tight fit with another brand's aftermarket slides (nothing that can't be fixed with a few minutes and a file).

in my experience, aftermarket barrels work with stock slides no problem, and stock barrels work with an aftermarket slides as well.

- holster fit should not be an issue. aftermarket slides should have the same external dimensions. if anything, some of them may be narrower in the front if they have a carry cut, which should aid insertion into a holster.
