Like shooting your polymer guns? Don't buy steel frame.

I have a bunch of polymer frame guns. Always enjoyed shooting them. Then I went crazy and got a 9mm and a .45 1911 and a .357 revolver.

Now the polymer guns just don't feel right.

I guess once you go steel frame you just can't go back. I used to really like shooting my G35. Took it to the range today and it just pissed me off.

I feel the same way. I have sold off and traded away most of my polymer framed guns for steel framed ones. I also prefer a hammer as opposed to a striker. I mostly shoot Beretta these days.

I had this problem at first. Really irritated me since I liked my steel framed guns and my polymer.

I just learned to shoot decently with each one. The steel framed guns I do shoot better with though.

Well two different platforms all together, I actually did the opposite sold off an spo1 and picked up a new M&P 2.0 and I'm extremely happy with it. Nothing against steel frame guns but a good polymer gun is so much more versatile especially with a Striker Fired mechanism.

The weight of steel frame guns helps to dampen recoil, and they usually have a wide range of grip options. No need for stippling or other half-measures.

          Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

When shooting I prefer all steel handguns. If I have to conceal carry a pistol I appreciate the weight of polymer and alloy frames.

Fav handguns are: Glock 26, S&W Shield, Browning HP, Any 1911, S&W 625PC.

I guess I'm just confused, but I shoot all of them equally. Sometimes 2 at a time...

+1. Light weight helps during a full day of carrying.

                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I like both steel and polymer.
I prefer hammers, but all bolt-action guns are striker.
                          I carry a polymer Beretta.

I've always been a steel or alloy-framed pistol and revolver guy - all hammer fired and not striker fired. Picked up a couple striker fired pistols and just did not like that 'sproing' type trigger release.
But, did like the lightness of the poly frame, but wanted hammer-time...
So - picked up a Beretta PX4 Storm and am VERY happy!
Definitely try a PX4 - a very smooth and soft shooting pistol and much more accurate than I ever could be.
One difference with this pistol - shoot to the dots on the sights and not aligned to the top of the sights...
