    PPQ more "dangerous" than Glock?

PPQ has a fully cocked striker while Glock's is partially cocked. Does this make the Glock a safer gun to carry? Is it also more drop safe? I'm fairly new to guns and don't understand how the safety mechanisms work with both of these guns. Please school me... Thanks!

    Hammer-fired is best.

Check out the gravity-fired Sig 320.
I hear it's dropping soon, the market better watch out when that thing hits.

I really like the PPQ for a range gun, but the trigger is too light to carry for me personally. YMMV.

Really? Then why isn't the PPQ used by LE and military? The P99Q is, but it has a half cocked striker with a heavier trigger (6.7 lbs or somthing like that).

Yeah i'm kind of scared to do any holster work with it. How do you feel about it in terms of an HD gun?

With the trigger safety for dropping on the rear and striker block safety for dropping on the muzzle ...... which I am assuming the PPQ has and know that the glock does ..... I don't see how one would be more or less DROP safe than the other.
Now if you need to be made safe from pulling on the trigger , that is a different matter

PPQ, both 4 and 5 inch, VP 9 and my Ruger LC9S PRO model have very
                    Lite triggers.

Good training, good habits and trigger discipline are vital with all guns.

This goes beyond "Glock Leg" . Which is probably the reason (besides price and contracts) that LE isn't rushing to switch to PPQs.....etc..

                    Be well

                      I agree.

You seem ready to argue about something you know little about though

When they say don't go off half-cocked they don't mean Glock.

I prefer it for a range toy only, YMMV

Yeah it is a range toy for me, but actually if it was the 4" version it could work in places a G19 works.

My thoughts are you are scared of yourself messing up moreso than the gun. The pistol is an inanimate object, and triggers cant pull themselves. Take a basic firearms class from a reputable instructor
