Well, I took my new Sig SP2022 .40 S&W out to the indoor range Saturday morning. I put 80 rounds (8 magazines) through it. It functioned perfectly and was pretty accurate. This is one nice pistol for a great price. I'm the original owner of a Sig P220 (1993 West German) and P229 .40 S&W (1995 German frame). Both P series pistols are fantastic. This new SP2022 fits in nicely.

Mines been to the range several times and close to 1k rounds. It's functioned flawlessly and is very accurate. My groups aren't as small as yours but I'm shooting at over 20 yards.
I'm still getting used to the trigger (45 year 1911 guy). The DA/SA isn't that strange to me (I've got several DA/SA pistols) just different. I'm starting to like the SA "step" in the trigger. Easy to take up the slack, positive stop and good release.
Looking to get it's twin in 9mm soon.
Now that I think of it I think I'll hit the range again tomorrow...

My bro in law has the 9 mm sp2022 and he says the grip is too small for him. It came with another medium grip and he doesnt feel much change to it.
Do you know how he can make the grip larger? How do you like the grip?

They come with the medium grip installed and large grip in the box. I'm using the med grip and since I'm a single stack guy it feels wide to me but then again the grip panels are more for trigger reach than width.
My daughter uses a small grip and it feels good too. I don't know if Sig offers an extra large grip but your BIL can always use a grip wrap to increase the grip size.50% Deplorable, 50% wanting America to return to what it was

I don't have a 2022, but it's predecessor the 2340. I wonder if the 2022 is improved beyond the different rail. The 2340 was a great value for the money (cost me 1/4 of my 226's) but I find the grip I little big and it's too snappy in .40. I actually prefer shooting it with the .357 Sig barrel over the .40.Comment
